Mondrian sought universal harmony through geometry. Coca-Cola sought universal market penetration through branding. Both achieved total global recognition. The grid that organizes pure art is the same grid that organizes pure commerce.
A classic Coca-Cola bottle rendered in Mondrian's style — primary color blocks warping around the glass curves, spray paint pooling at the base, gallery placard on the wall beside it. Through the art, fragments of the bottle's commercial text keep surfacing — nutrition facts, ingredient lists, the Atlanta address. The product's DNA trying to assert itself through the painting that consumed it.
There is no honest boundary between art and commerce. The fiction is pretending there is.
First piece in the Untitled series. Each work pairs an iconic consumer object with a fine art movement and asks the same question from a different angle.
The tri-blend fabric creates a vintage, fitted look. And extreme durability makes this t-shirt withstand repeated washings and still remain super comfortable.
• 50% polyester, 25% combed ring-spun cotton, 25% rayon
• Fabric weight: 3.4 oz/yd² (115.3 g/m²)
• Pre-shrunk for extra durability
• 40 singles
• Regular fit
• Side-seamed construction
• Blank product sourced from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, or the US
Disclaimer: The fabric is slightly sheer and may appear see-through, especially in lighter colors or under certain lighting conditions.
This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
